Half an hour, forty five minutes?
I wondered what kind of a jam you were in.
Went home in a huff and puff
Mad for keeping me “parking”
The next day went by and I did not see you
in our usual place,
Thought you had other things to do
Two days went by
You never picked my calls or sms
I wondered what was wrong
Went over your place
Your mother told me with a tear on her eye
And I was told you were gone
And never coming back again
I never thought it would be this soon,
Having rides on your “BECKY”
The invites we had and enjoyed
The food we enjoyed at the court
and most of all the gap on your teeth.
Your huge frame will be missed
Wild, real stories that made me realise
The kind of world we live in
You made things a whole lot realer than anybody else
You spoke your mind, with bits of wisdom.
Just like a passing wind you came
And now you are gone.
Rest in peace Big Joe
